JODYAC cares about holistic and complete publishing for researchers and librarians, and is aware that providing this requires publishing reliable original research articles. In accordance with JODYAC’s publication policies, the duties and responsibilities of the author(s) and the editorial board during the withdrawal of a study or article are outlined below.
Authors
The author(s) have a duty to assist the journal editor in the retraction process if they discover a mistake or mistakes in their published, early appearance, or evaluation work. The “Withdrawal Form” must be completed by the author(s) who wish to withdraw their work from consideration during the review period, and a scanned and signed copy of each author must be emailed to the editorial board. The Editorial Board will consider the withdrawal request and react no later than one week from the time it is received. The request for withdrawal of the studies whose copyrights have been transferred by the editorial board at the Dyscalculia Academy Journal submission stage must be accepted before the authors can submit their work to another journal for evaluation.
Editors
The JODYAC Editorial Board has an obligation to initiate an investigation into a published, early-view, or under-evaluation work if there is suspicion of copyright or plagiarism. If the Editorial Board detects copyright or plagiarism in the work under evaluation as a result of the investigation, it withdraws the work from evaluation and returns the detected cases to the authors, citing the sources in detail. If the Editorial Board detects copyright infringement or plagiarism in a published or early-view work, the withdrawal and notification procedures must be carried out within one week.
The work in which ethical violations are detected is withdrawn and the phrase “Withdrawn:” is added at the beginning of the title in the electronic display.
Instead of the Abstract and Full Text contents in the electronic display, the reasons for the withdrawal of the study and, if there are detailed sources of evidence, are published together with the notifications of the institutions and organizations to which the author(s) are affiliated.
Notice of withdrawal is announced on the home page of the journal website and the electronic and hard copy of the first issue to be published as of the date of retraction is added to the list of contents as “Retracted: Working Title”, with the reasons for the retraction and the original citations cited for it shared with the public and researchers, starting from the first page.
The withdrawal notices are also sent to the organization(s) to which the author(s) is affiliated, as well as to the institutions and organizations where the journal is indexed, and to the National Library Presidency for registration in index systems and catalogues.
In addition, the editorial board may recommend to publishers or editorial boards of previously published studies of the author(s) of the ethically violated study to assure the validity and reliability of the published studies or to withdraw them.
